Natural sponges are harvested from plants, namely gourds, loofah, or luffa . Most often, loofah sponges are used for scrubbing and exfoliating dead skin. 

Often seen for sale in stores in the form of back brushes or exfoliating mitts, loofah sponges also make ideal scrubbers for pots, pans and surfaces, such as counter tops and sinks.

Can also be used to clean Dog, cars, shower walls, Painting, Windows, Hardwood floors, Stoves, Wash Dishes, ETC

Another idea is to cut the loofah and roll it out flat and germinate seeds on it. Another option is to cut them up into small pieces and fill the bottom of a pot to help with drainage instead of using gravel.
